We are conducting a series of studies at the University of Oxford to investigate whether increasing physical and mental activity can improve cognitive health and prevent cognitive decline in healthy older people and in people with mild cognitive impairment. We are using brain scanning techniques, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and magnetoencephalography (MEG), to investigate the effect these interventions have on the functioning of the brain. These techniques provide us with images of the brain and allow us to measure brain function. We are recruiting people over 60 years of age to take part in either our exercise study or our cognitive training study. If you are interested in taking part or would like to find out more, please contact the CHA research team or visit our website. OxDARE's aims are to promote research into the causes and treatment of dementia, and to improve clinical services for people who are affected by dementia. We have created a collaborative and reflective network to aid communication between scientists and clinicians, and also to engage with the general public through educational events and research activities. OxDARE was set up by the Oxford Biomedical Research Centre to co-ordinate Oxford's response to the Prime Minister's Challenge on Dementia. We have scientists based across 2 NHS Trusts and 6 departments of the University of Oxford. If you are interested in finding out more about research into dementia and ageing please visit our website. If you would like to join our registry of interest for future studies, please email our OxDARE research team. ....read more:Overnight Beauty Tips
